PostNest Terms of Service
Effective Date: June 24, 2026 Last updated: June 24, 2026
In short (plain-English summary): PostNest is an independent software tool, operated by Qasim Mehmood, that connects to your Pinterest business account using Pinterest's official OAuth 2.0 and REST API v5 so you can create, schedule, and manage Pins and boards and read your own Pinterest analytics (read-only). PostNest is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Pinterest, and your use of Pinterest through PostNest is also subject to Pinterest's own terms and policies, which you must follow. We only use information from your Pinterest account to provide the Service to you; we do not combine it with other users' data or other services, and we do not sell or share Pinterest API data with third parties. The Service is provided "as is," it depends entirely on the Pinterest API (which Pinterest can change or revoke at any time), and our liability to you is limited. You can disconnect PostNest and revoke its access to your Pinterest account at any time. Your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. This summary is for convenience only and does not replace the full Terms below, which form a binding agreement between you and us.
1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PostNest (the "Service"), available at https://postnest.qasimmehmood.com and operated by Qasim Mehmood ("PostNest," "we," "us," or "our"), an independent, solo developer.
By accessing or using PostNest, by creating an account, or by connecting your Pinterest account, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.
These Terms take effect on the date you first use the Service or, if later, the June 24, 2026 shown above.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
- "PostNest," "Service" — the PostNest software, website, and related features made available at https://postnest.qasimmehmood.com.
- "User," "you," "your" — any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Service, or that connects a Pinterest account to it.
- "Content" — any text, images, captions, links, Pins, boards, schedules, or other material you create, upload, schedule, or publish through the Service.
- "Pinterest" — Pinterest, Inc. and its services and platform.
- "Pinterest API" / "Pinterest Materials" — Pinterest's official application programming interfaces and related materials, including OAuth 2.0 and the Pinterest REST API v5, through which the Service interoperates with Pinterest.
- "Account" — your PostNest account and/or the connection between PostNest and your Pinterest account.
- "Pinterest Data" — information accessed from or written to Pinterest on your behalf via the Pinterest API, including OAuth tokens, profile information, boards, Pins, and analytics/insights data.
3. Eligibility & Age Requirements
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use PostNest. PostNest is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly permit use by, or knowingly collect data from, anyone under 13 years old (or under 16 in the European Economic Area ("EEA")). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at [email protected] and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
If you connect a business's Pinterest account, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to act on that business's behalf and to bind it to these Terms. You also represent that you have the authority to grant PostNest the access described in these Terms and in our Privacy Policy.
4. Account Registration & User Responsibilities
To use certain features, you may need to register and provide basic account information (such as an email address). You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date.
You are responsible for:
- safeguarding your account credentials and the security of any device or system you use to access the Service;
- all activity that occurs under your Account or your connected Pinterest account through PostNest; and
- promptly notifying us at [email protected] of any unauthorized use of, or security incident affecting, your Account.
You must keep your own Pinterest login credentials private. PostNest never asks for your Pinterest password — access is granted solely through Pinterest's OAuth authorization flow (see Section 5).
5. Connecting Your Pinterest Account & Relationship to Pinterest
This section governs PostNest's relationship to Pinterest and how PostNest interacts with your Pinterest account.
5.1 How PostNest Connects
PostNest connects to your Pinterest business account using Pinterest's official OAuth 2.0 authorization and the Pinterest REST API v5. When you authorize the connection, Pinterest issues PostNest OAuth access and refresh tokens that allow PostNest to act on your behalf within the scopes you approve. PostNest does not receive or store your Pinterest password, and does not solicit, collect, or use anyone else's Pinterest login credentials.
5.2 What Pinterest Data PostNest Accesses
Through the Pinterest API, and only to provide the Service to you, PostNest may access:
- your Pinterest OAuth access and refresh tokens;
- your Pinterest account/profile information;
- your boards and Pins;
- your Pinterest analytics/insights data (read-only); and
- the Content you create or schedule through PostNest for publishing to Pinterest.
PostNest uses this information only to provide the Service to you, the account holder. We do not combine your Pinterest account information with other users' account data or with information from other services, and we do not sell or share Pinterest Data with any third party (including any advertising service). Pinterest Data is only returned to or used for the account holder it came from. Full details, including data retention, security, and your rights, are in our Privacy Policy.
5.3 Token Storage & Revocation
OAuth tokens and API credentials are kept confidential and protected (including encryption in transit and at rest and restricted access) as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect PostNest and revoke its access at any time — either from within PostNest (where available) or directly from your Pinterest account's security/connected-apps settings. Revoking authorization stops PostNest's ability to access your Pinterest account going forward. You may also request deletion of your stored tokens and data as described in Section 15 and in our Privacy Policy.
5.4 No Affiliation with Pinterest
PostNest is an independent service operated by Qasim Mehmood. PostNest is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or otherwise officially connected with Pinterest, Inc. "Pinterest" and the Pinterest logo are trademarks of Pinterest, Inc., used here solely to identify interoperability. PostNest does not misrepresent its relationship with Pinterest or its level of access to the Pinterest Materials.
5.5 You Must Also Comply with Pinterest's Terms
Your use of Pinterest through PostNest remains subject to Pinterest's own Terms of Service, Business Terms of Service, developer/platform policies, and Community Guidelines. You are solely responsible for complying with them. Your Pinterest account remains governed by your agreement with Pinterest, and nothing in these Terms supersedes, replaces, or overrides your agreement with Pinterest. You can review Pinterest's policies, including its Privacy Policy, at Pinterest's website.
6. Description of the Service
PostNest is a software tool that helps you manage organic Pinterest content. Specifically, PostNest lets you:
- create, schedule, and manage Pins and boards (organic content publishing) on your connected Pinterest account; and
- read your Pinterest analytics/insights data (read-only) to review the performance of your own account.
PostNest does not provide, and does not claim to provide, paid advertising/campaign management, behavioral advertising, audience targeting, or any access beyond the OAuth scopes you approve. The Service's core functionality depends entirely on the Pinterest API. Features may change as Pinterest changes its API, policies, scopes, or rate limits. We may add, modify, or remove features at any time (see Section 16).
7. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct
You agree to use PostNest lawfully and responsibly. You agree not to:
- publish or schedule content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, harmful, harassing, or spam;
- violate Pinterest's Terms, Community Guidelines, developer/platform policies, or rate limits, or attempt to circumvent any Pinterest limits or restrictions;
- scrape, harvest, or misuse data, or store or use Pinterest Data other than as permitted by Pinterest and these Terms;
- use the Service to access, manage, or act on behalf of any Pinterest account you are not authorized to manage;
- solicit, collect, or use anyone else's Pinterest login credentials, or use API credentials that are not yours;
- reverse engineer, decompile, interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems; or
- use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it, or that violates any applicable law or third-party right.
We may investigate and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination, for any violation of this Section (see Section 15).
8. User Content & License to Operate the Service
You retain all rights to the Content you create or schedule through PostNest. We do not claim ownership of your Content.
To operate and provide the Service, you grant PostNest a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, revocable license to host, store, process, transmit, and publish your Content and your associated Pinterest Data solely to provide the Service to you — including creating, scheduling, and publishing Pins and boards on your behalf and retrieving your read-only analytics. This license ends when your Content is deleted or when you disconnect or terminate your Account, except to the limited extent we must retain information to comply with law.
You represent and warrant that:
- you own, or have all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to, the Content you submit;
- your Content does not infringe or violate any law, third-party right, or Pinterest policy; and
- you are solely responsible for your Content and for any content you publish, schedule, or remove through the Service.
9. Intellectual Property
PostNest — including its software, source code, design, user interface, website, and brand — is owned by Qasim Mehmood and is protected by intellectual property and other laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.
Except for that license, these Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service or our intellectual property. "Pinterest" and related marks are trademarks of Pinterest, Inc., and all rights in those marks remain with Pinterest, Inc.
10. Privacy & Your Data Rights
Our collection and use of personal data, including Pinterest Data, is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy.
We are committed to handling your data consistently with all applicable data-protection laws, including, where applicable, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"). Subject to and as further described in our Privacy Policy:
- GDPR (where applicable): you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Our legal bases for processing are typically your consent and/or performance of our contract with you (providing the Service) and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service.
- CCPA/CPRA (where applicable): you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. PostNest does not sell or share your personal information or Pinterest Data, including for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
To exercise any of these rights, to disconnect or revoke Pinterest OAuth access, or to request deletion of your Account, stored tokens, and associated data, see Section 5.3 and Section 15 or contact us at [email protected]. We will respond as required by applicable law.
11. Third-Party Services & Dependence on Pinterest
The Service integrates with and relies on Pinterest and may rely on other third-party services (such as hosting and infrastructure providers). Those parties operate under their own terms and policies, which we do not control. Where third parties process data on our behalf, we do so as described in our Privacy Policy.
PostNest's functionality depends on the Pinterest API. Pinterest may modify, limit, suspend, deprecate, rate-limit, or revoke API access, or change its policies, scopes, or rate limits, at any time and without notice. Such changes may interrupt, degrade, or permanently disable some or all features of PostNest.
We do not control and are not responsible for the availability, content, policies, acts, or omissions of Pinterest or any other third-party service — including any decision by Pinterest to restrict, suspend, remove content from, or terminate your Pinterest account. Your relationship with Pinterest is separate from your relationship with PostNest. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PostNest shall not be liable for any loss arising from Pinterest's actions, outages, or changes.
12. Service Availability & Disclaimer of Warranties
PostNest is operated by an independent, solo developer, and support and availability are provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee any level of uptime, and the Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors outside our control, including Pinterest API outages.
We do not guarantee any specific outcome from publishing or scheduling (such as engagement, reach, or impressions), and we are not responsible for any Content that Pinterest rejects, removes, restricts, or fails to publish.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. POSTNEST DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT PINS, BOARDS, OR ANALYTICS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, TIMELY, OR SUCCESSFULLY PUBLISHED. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POSTNEST AND Qasim Mehmood WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF POSTNEST AND Qasim Mehmood FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID TO POSTNEST IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Qasim Mehmood from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your Content; (b) your use of the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of Pinterest's terms or policies; or (e) your violation of any applicable law or any third-party right.
15. Suspension, Termination & Data Deletion
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time — including for violation of these Terms, misuse of the Service, legal or operational reasons, or discontinuation of the Service.
You may stop using PostNest at any time and may revoke PostNest's Pinterest authorization through PostNest (where available) or through your Pinterest account settings. You may also request deletion of your Account, stored tokens, and associated data by contacting [email protected], as further described in our Privacy Policy.
Upon disconnection or termination, your right to use the Service ends, we will stop accessing your Pinterest account on your behalf, and we will delete or de-identify your stored tokens and associated data as described in our Privacy Policy, except to the limited extent we must retain information to comply with law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 8 (license and content representations), 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, and 18 — will survive.
16. Modifications to the Service and to These Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any feature at any time, with or without notice.
We may also update these Terms. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms at https://postnest.qasimmehmood.com/terms with a revised Effective Date (and "Last updated" date) at the top. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service and may disconnect your Pinterest account.
17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Before bringing any formal claim, you agree to first try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at [email protected], and we will try to resolve it in good faith. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be subject to the courts (or other dispute-resolution venue) located in Pakistan, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable mandatory law (including consumer-protection law) gives you the right to bring proceedings in, or requires application of the law of, your place of residence.
18. General Provisions
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PostNest regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements on that subject.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including Pinterest API outages, internet or hosting failures, or acts of government.
- Notices. We may provide notices to you via the Service or by email; you may send notices to us at [email protected].
